There are two methods of repairing this, the simple ways is tru SD card ROM update, but what about it does not work and you'll encounter a "OS not Compatible with Hardware?"
The second method will help you!
You will upgrade the unit by using USB cable and our PDA device plus a free software to be download.
Use the loader as per operating system:
- For Windows XP Users:

I done my X610 tru Vista 32 bit loader, coz I am using this OS, However Ill will also post the procedure for XP users:
Just Follow this instruction here:
Windows XP Users:
- Your X610
- Your USB Cable
- A ROM "just the temp.bin file"
Guideline:
* FIRST: Rename your ROM extension from temp.dat to temp.bin
1. Make sure that the device is not connected with USB.
2. Kill Active Sync on the list of processes on the PC, it is called - wcescomm.exe (Task Manager, Ctrl + Alt + Del) or untick "Allow USB connections" in Connetion Settings of activesync..
3. Go to Bootloader mode (press and hold "Power + Recorder buttons" then press reset white still holding "Power + Recorder buttons" until you see the text) ..
4. Run USBDL.exe
5. Connect USB cable between your computer and X610.
6. Press browse button in USBDL.exe and select the file temp.bin, click OK ...
7. Upgrading firmware, after the on-screen message "EBoot Programmed ok!", Wait for X500 starts after 20 seconds or Do a Manual reset "Power Button + Reset"
Windows Vista 32/64 bit Users:
- Your X610
- Your USB Cable
- A ROM "just the temp.dat file"
Guideline:
- Run the .bat file.
- Go to Bootloader mode (press and hold "Power + Recorder buttons" then press reset white still holding "Power + Recorder buttons" until you see the text) ..
- Please go to the Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Windows Mobile Device Center => Change connection settings (or in Classic view just under Windows Mobile Device Center) Untick "Allow USB connections" And click OK
- After Flashing retick "Allow USB connections" And click OK
- Do a Manual reset "Power Button + Reset"
